Thank you so much for putting together such an absolutely beautiful HALLOWEEN vow renewal/hand-fasting ceremony. It was filled with so many personal touches! From the beautiful Oak and Ash and Thorn song that you sang, to incorporating the stunning nature of England that surrounded us. We are so glad to have connected with you all the way from Arizona in the United States. With the long distance Skype calls and 7 hour time difference you were still able to get to know us and our needs and create a ceremony truly fitting to us. You even brought a shawl for me to wear (without me even asking) because of course I didn’t think to bring something warm to go with my dress! We can’t thank you enough, from the bottom of our hearts.

Clare provided us with a totally bespoke, empathetic and responsive experience from start to finish. She really took the time to get to know as a couple and learn all of our quirks and idiosyncrasies. Our meetings were fun and personal and she made the process much easier and less stressful. Clare really knows her stuff and offered valuable insight and expertise about the ritual and tradition of different ceremonies. The ceremony was beautiful, memorable and totally unique! We got so many compliments and lots of our guests said it was the best ceremony they had ever been too! Clare wrote a brilliant script with just the right mix of humour, storytelling and seriousness. She is a very talented writer and speaker and has lovely prose and style. Thank you so much Clare for making our ceremony so special!

Clare struck the perfect balance between heartfelt and joyful – with just the right touch of humour. She even provided a little toast post ceremony, on our request, with our guests. She captured our story so perfectly that many of our guests thought she had known us for years! The ceremony flowed seamlessly and set the perfect tone for the rest of our day. We had so many guests comment on how moving and unique the ceremony was (we had quite a few tears from us as well as our guests!)- and that’s all thanks to Clare’s talent and presence. Clare was fantastic at our wedding, she had lots of ideas to add to our pagan hand fasting. Clare put so much effort in from start to finish and with so many parts to the ceremony we’re glad we found her! The questionnaires really helped get us in the swing of wedding prep. The script she made from those and our meetings perfectly captured the feel and vibe we wanted. She made the day perfect and was almost as excited as we were for a fully pagan ceremony as most people only want a flavour of it in their wedding. If you want a pagan/hand fasting ceremony, choose Clare! An amazing, beautiful soul with so much passion for her work and ensuring everything runs smoothly on her end. I Do Declare would be our first choice for a vow renewal or our recommendation to anyone looking to get married.

From our first meeting with Clare, we knew that we’d made the right choice for a celebrant. She was warm and friendly from the off, and helped us to feel comfortable with what can be a scary event to plan! Meeting with Clare at regular intervals before the day helped us to ensure that we got exactly what we wanted from the ceremony, with just the right amounts of formality and fun. Clare’s friendly manner and eye for detail meant that we didn’t forget any of the important things come the day. On the day of the celebration, Clare’s professionalism shone; she made us, our daughters, and our guests feel at ease throughout. Clare brought lots of enthusiasm, understanding and ideas in the build up to our event and was able to pick our thoughts and transform them into a beautiful and loving speech. The highlight of our wonderful wedding day was definitely the beautiful ceremony that Clare wrote for us. She told our story eloquently and captured the essence of our relationship perfectly. The ceremony was exquisite, full of joy, love and laughter. The whole atmosphere was very relaxed and encompassed all of our guests, many of whom commented on the beauty of the ceremony. Clare wrote us a ceremony that was wonderfully warm, had a great balance between humour and poignancy and really felt like it was “us”. Many guests said afterwards that our ceremony had been ‘beautiful’, ‘joyful’ and one guest said of all the many marriage ceremonies he’d seen in his life, ours was the best. She was an absolute joy to work with and I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants a personal touch for their ceremony and day. Before getting engaged I’d never have thought that we’d go with a celebrant- led ceremony, but in hindsight we know we absolutely made the right call. She hit the balance between lyricism, solemnity and humour perfectly.

Clare was absolutely amazing helping us prep for our day. Her calm demeanour and professionalism were beyond satisfactory and also made us feel reassured that she had our best interests in mind. Clare held a Blessing Way ritual for me and a group of my friends before I gave birth to my daughter. I was touched by the thoughtful, tender and relaxed approach that Clare took when holding such a sacred space for me and my baby. She allowed each person in the room to be heard and to express themselves in their own way. I left the ritual feeling inspired and grateful as I journeyed into the next chapter of motherhood. Clare made the whole process really relaxed and easy; we ended up meeting at the pub down the road from the venue a few months before the wedding to go over the planning. Clare brought loads of great ideas to the table – the group singalong ended up being a highlight of everyone’s day! She was open and excited about the ideas we had and helped create something that really reflected our personalities. We were keen to invite our guests to be active participants in the ceremony rather than just spectators and Clare certainly delivered!

Clare really took the time to get to know Molly and our family, making the ceremony completely personalised for us. She asked lots of thoughtful questions beforehand to understand who we are and what mattered to us. It was lovely that she wrote everything down and sent it to us in advance, so we could review it and be sure it felt right. Even on the day, she was happy to make small changes so that everything fitted perfectly with what we wanted. Clare also came with lots of suggestions for different rituals, which made the ceremony extra special. I especially loved the idea of the naming tree, where we all did the watering—it was such a meaningful touch. As a family who aren’t religious, it was wonderful to have something spiritual without any overtones of organised religion. Clare was very friendly, welcoming, and approachable throughout the whole process.

Our celebrant Clare certainly brought a calming presence. From the moment she arrived, the whole day felt completely stress-free for me. As soon as it was just me and Clare at the front, I knew everything was in safe hands. The questionnaires we completed beforehand—about what we think about love, why we were getting married, and what marriage means to us—really helped us clarify what we wanted for the ceremony. With religious ceremonies, there’s a sense of powerful devotion, but as non-religious people, it can be hard to capture that same feeling. Clare created a truly spiritual experience for us, even though I don’t consider myself spiritual. The ceremony had a real sense of majesty, and she was absolutely perfect for what we were trying to achieve.

Clare held the ceremony for my daughter’s wedding. It was an amazing day and Clare was beautifully eloquent and reassuring leading the ceremony. At the pre-ceremony meetings we found Clare to be a good listener, she was able to quickly grasp and pull together all the ideas (of which there were many!) that my daughter and her fiancé had. On their wedding day, Clare delivered exactly what they wanted. I was really impressed with Clare’s work ethic and professionalism and I highly recommend her.
